If you are thinking of popping the question then the 2012 Leap Year edition of the guide 'Official Ceremonies In West Sussex' is a must.

Naming Ceremony – a non-religious ceremony to welcome a baby, child or children into your family.

Renewal Ceremony – a non-religious ceremony for couples who wish to re-celebrate their wedding or civil partnership.


Citizenship Ceremonies held after a person has been granted British Citizenship by the Home Office.

Pete Bradbury, the West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member with responsibility for the Registration Service, said: “The brochure is packed with advice and information as well as some very entertaining features.

“There are so many amazing and varied venues in West Sussex that people are really spoilt for choice, and the County Council is keen to see even more places applying to be licensed.

“We are also sure that West Sussex has an awful lot to offer people who live outside the county, but are looking for somewhere different but special for their big day.

“As the brochure says - from historic thatched cottages to grand castles, people will have memories that last a lifetime.”
